In 2020 Jordan has initiated legislating a new law pertaining to the Personal Data Protection. The said draft Law is currently at the legislation process which shall be sent to the Parliament for discussion and endorsement this year 2020.
The Law provides rights for the personal data owners over their personal data to correct, restrict, erase, rectify and access their personal data.
Meanwhile, in absence of such an effective law in Jordan, personal data shall maintain governed and regulated by the Jordanian Constitution, Electronic crimes law, Civil Law, international treaty.
